LI-COR Internship

June 2025 - May 2026

LI-COR was my first graphic design job, where I had the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and experience what it’s like to work as an in-house designer. During my time there, I updated the company’s product catalog with new pricing and branding, created a variety of digital and print advertisements, and made edits to web graphics and content while following established brand guidelines.

I quickly realized that designers wear many hats such as photographer, web editor, t-shirt maker, podcast creator, and more. This role gave me hands-on experience in areas I hadn’t expected to explore, and over the 11 months I spent at LI-COR I gained a much better understanding of what working as a designer in a professional environment looks like.

Leaf to Leaf

During my time as an intern at LI-COR, I had the opportunity to brand their most recent podcast, Leaf to Leaf. I worked with the full time Graphic Designers to brainstorm and come up with a few options for the podcast. After a few rounds of looking through all of the designs, the scientists in charge of Leaf to Leaf ended up choosing my identity to work with. This was a super cool experience for me because at the time that my designs were chosen, I had only been working there a few weeks, so I was able to start my internship off pretty strong!

Leaf to Leaf is currently listened to all across the world, meaning my work has been seen globally.
